Music: Jet Comes Back with ‘Get Re-Born’ National Tour

Aussie rock band Jet is coming back with a national tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its debut album, Get Born.

Titled Get Re-Born, the tour will go from May to June and cover seven cities: Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.

“We’re really excited to play Get Born in full for the first time ever,” the band said. “The idea of playing this album and celebrating 15 years since began our journey is something that’s very special to us, and we can’t wait to get out there and see old friends again, and meet plenty of new ones as well.”

To kick off the tour, the band played a free gig in Melbourne’s AC/DC Lane on Tuesday.

Get Born sold over 6 million copies, earning the band 8x Platinum in ARIA Charts. The band disbanded in 2012 and reformed back four years later.

To complement the tour, Jet will also release the album Get Born: Live at the Forum in May.

The tour tickets, starting from $69.90, will be released for sale on Monday, March 19, 10am. For more information, visit the LiveNation website.

Music: Kesha Postpones Australian Tour, Cancels Bluesfest Appearance Following Knee Injury

Kesha has cancelled her upcoming Byron Bay Bluesfest appearance and postponed her Australia / New Zealand tour due to a knee injury.

After falling during a concert in Dubai on February 9, the singer tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her knee and had to undergo surgery and rehabilitation.

“I have to follow my doctor’s orders and undergo surgery today to repair my torn ACL so I can get ready to give it my all on my Summer tour and beyond,” Kesha said in a statement two days ago.

Bluesfest confirmed that Kesha will no longer be performing at the festival in the Easter long weekend.

Organisers of Kesha’s Australian tour, which was previously set to begin in March, said the new dates for the shows “will be announced in the near future”.

Music: Panic! At The Concert

Do not PANIC! Excuse the pun – but Panic! At The Disco is coming down to Australia for their 2017 tour. With front man Brendon Urie holding the reigns, the group will bring back their successful debut album playing, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, which dominated the music world in 2005 and making teen hearts beat faster.

As described by The Rolling Stones, the band is “a mix between Sinatra and Queen. The band will also play their latest album, Death Of A Bachelor – another hit record with fans and critics alike, topping charts and certifying themselves in the US along with their other successful albums:  Too Weird To Live, Too Weird To Die (Gold) and  Pretty. Odd (Gold).
